Professional Accompanist
I play the acoustic piano to accompany opera singers, ensembles, events, background music, and church services in the Washington, D.C. area.
I play by ear, read chord charts, play with praise bands, and read classical music scores for auditions, and performances in the DMV.
Teacher
Parents and students can rest assured that they will receive excellent private piano lessons from a classically trained teacher with over 20 years of experience.
Students, ages 8+ will learn the Circle of Fifths, note reading, basic chords, inversions, progressions, and techniques at the piano for sight-reading, transposition, improvisation, and composition using manuscript paper, a pencil & various piano methods.
These piano lessons are ideal for beginners, as well as church musicians, singers, and musicians who have already studied piano and would like to learn how to accompany a church service, to accompany themselves, or to accompany others, as well as learn ways to arrange music. (Elementary, Intermediate, & Advanced Levels).
Piano lessons include Recitals (via the Woodbridge Music Club & Joy Piano Studio LLC), Annual National Federation of Music Clubs Festival, WMC Scholarship competitions, and NFMC music essay/composition/festival competitions.
